What SEEC Is

Sustainable Energy Education Communication (SEEC) is a one-of-a-kind Web-based educational program that offers big-picture sustainability information and practical solutions that will help you show, through your words and actions, the importance of green buildings and operations.

The Web-based program introduces sustainability through 10 learning modules and is available 24-7 through any computer with high-speed Internet access. Each module takes a different topic related to sustainability and provides history, statistics and solutions through real-life images and narration. A quiz after each module tests your understanding.

Each module takes less than one hour to complete. Interruptions are never a problem because the program remembers where you've left off and takes you there the next time you log in. Program access is available to you for 12 months.

When you take SEEC organization-wide, the program offers personal support to set up, facilitate and manage your participants' progress, whether its 500 or 50,000 participants.

Communication materials to promote internally are also provided. Add-on support packages are available for external communications, special event planning, and functional product tie-ins such as providing compact fluorescent light bulbs when participants complete the lighting module. The business result is an accelerated organizational transformation to sustainable best practice.

Developed by Johnson Controls Inc., in conjunction with the National Energy Foundation, the SEEC program applies the "Environmental Education Materials: Guidelines for Excellence" developed by the North American Association Environmental Education:
